T. Research outcome presentation
Students who are
going to submit a doctoral dissertation are requested to make a research
outcome presentation in their third year.
Meeting for
research outcome presentation will be hold by respective departments by 3
months
before the submission of the doctoral dissertation.
The contents of
research outcome will be evaluated if it is qualified enough for an examination
of doctoral dissertation.
1. Application Procedures
Students who
request for a research outcome presentation need to submit the required copies
of
draft of the doctoral dissertation to their academic supervisors.
Students whose
research outcomes are approved will receive the notice letter, gApproval of
Research Outcomeh.
2. Procedures after Research outcome presentation
Accepted students
shall submit the doctoral dissertation in accordance with the following
guideline.
U. Examination of Doctoral Dissertation
After the research
outcome presentation, an examination of doctoral dissertation for approved
students will be held as follows.
1. Submission of Doctoral Dissertation
Students who request for an examination of the
doctoral dissertation need to submit the
following documents to dean of the graduate school, hSection
of student affairs of Graduate
School of Scienceh.
(1) Request for Examination of Doctoral Dissertation :

2. Guideline for Arrangement Students shall arrange the documents in accordance
with the following guideline. (1) Request for Examination of Doctoral Dissertation:

fulfilling both of the following conditions will be allowed for the doctoral
dissertation. @@Form of Document of Consent (Sample C2 PDF file) (Note) It is acceptable to change this form a little
for getting consents easier if you don't change the contents. For example, you can make
this form for each co-author and write respective titles of
research papers on it. (4) Summary of the Doctoral Dissertation: (Sample D PDF file) (5) Curriculum Vitae: (Sample E PDF file) (6) Research papers for reference -It is normally gNoneh. it is possible to submit them too. Please note that it
doesnft mean just those of related to the doctoral dissertation. An examination committee will examine the
doctoral dissertation and the documents submitted. 4. Final Examination 5. Final Presentation The examination committee shall hold a
final presentation. 6. Awarding a Doctor Degree On the basis of examination results by the
committee, a faculty meeting shall determine V. Flow for

report of approval of research outcome presentation to dean of the graduate
school (Section of student affairs). From early July Through the middle of July Submission of Doctoral Dissertation & other
documents (Section of student affairs) The middle of July Faculty Meeting will approve members of examination
committees. By late August Final Examination (Final Presentation) By late August Examination committee will submit a report of the
examination to dean of the graduate school (Section of student affairs). The middle of September Faculty Meeting will determine if awarding a degree Around September 25 Ceremony of conferment of a degree 2. For students who are
expected to complete the course in March Possible Dates Matters By the middle of October Research outcome presentation (Applicantfs academic supervisor) By early December Department Meeting, dean of department will submit a
report of approval of research outcome presentation to dean of the graduate
school (Section of student affairs). From early January through the middle of January Submission of Doctoral Dissertation & other
documents (Section of student affairs) Late January Faculty Meeting will approve members of examination
committees. By the middle of February Final Examination (Final Presentation) By the middle of February Examination committee will submit a report of the
examination to dean of the graduate school (Section of student affairs). The beginning of March Faculty Meeting will determine if awarding a degree.

3. Examination of Doctoral
Dissertation
It consists of at least 3 academic staffs including at least 2 professors. It
also includes 1 academic
staff in the division or department other than that of each studentfs academic
supervisor belongs to.
(1) The final examination
(writing or oral) will be evaluated focusing on the doctoral dissertation
and relevant special subjects by
the examination committee.
(2) Details of the examination
will be announced by the committee.
if the applicant will be awarded a doctoral degree in science or philosophy.
7. Releasing a Doctoral Dissertation

dissertations. Please see

on the internet.
